u hawritten so many things abt redbus but 1… its bogus.. i booked tickets for jaipur some 4 days bak. call centre girl confirmed my booking.. took my address, ph no., boarding pt etcc etc.. tomorrow i hav to go.. i habeen calling for past 3 days… the ppl at redbus tell me that my ticket will reah by evening. now today they tell me there no such booking!!! can u beleive it.. aftr so many days they tell me now that the ticket is not booked… when i call their centre they cant help… sometimes they wud keep my call on waiting n let it happen for 15 20 mins n then end the call…. i m so very frustrated. feel lyk goin to the consumer forum. u cant do something lyk this… i hav to see my sis after 3 years. n there is no seats available in any of the travels now.. n yes there isnt any girl named vijayalakhsmi , the girl who booked my ticks.. so wat do i do.. dont hav any options. do i? so anyone please before booking your tickets with redbus, be prepared for all this stuff or even worst… i jst wanted to go to meet my sis… but it cud be any serious matter. it cud be your meeting or anything/…. so the best option is IGNORE REDBUS .. I agree with the above comment . Red bus is BOGUS . I agree the website is very attractive and that’s how I was a victim ..Here is my personal experience ..It was new year season ..Ticket availability was rare and so I booked 2 tickets in A/C bus .Normally they would charge 400 ..This guy charged 700 per ticket ..But since I badly wanted the tickets went ahead and booked .. Cool ..I received the tickets through email . From Journey – This is what happened , Bus arrives 1 hour late .. The arrival time of the bus was supposed to be 11 pm and we all were already tired ..Then I entered into the Bus and see that its a very local bus .. I swear ..IT IS NOT A AIRBUS . It just like one of those Public transportation buses .. My seat was not there ..Yes !!! There was no cushion at all ..Just the arm rest and head rest .I quarrelled with the conductor and managed to get a different seat .. Then fine ..i was sleeping and at 2 PM the bus stopped ..I was thinking it was a traffic jam but NO , the bus met with an ACCIDENT ..The driver was drunk , hit a two wheeler ,no injuries to anyone but the owner of the two wheeler wouldn’t let the driver go unless he agrees to pay 5000 rs . Where will this poor driver go for 5000 ? He says sorry , I will give 1000 rs atleast .. The owner of the 2 wheeler is stubborn and asked the driver to route to the police station and yes we were in front of the police station for 1 hour .
The feud was resolved but now the bus driver is waiting ..For whom ..
The cleaner or conductor of the bus has gone to have his dinner at 3 PM and the entire passengers were waiting for him for 30 minutes ..Highly annoying ..Finally when I reached the destination It was 11 am ..I should have been there at 5 am .. 6 hours late !!!!!!
Return Journey was still adventourous .. I had mentioned we booked A/C bus rite ? These people dont have A/C bus at all ,.,That’s a tactic that they have to sell tickets ..At the last moment they say A/C bus is not working and all have to go through Non A/C bus . The people had no other option because everyone wanted to go back to college,work etc .. But we were still questioning as to why we have to pay 700 when we are going through Non AC bus ..And so he says ..Ok here is ur 100 rs back .. 600 for a horrible worst journey I have ever had ..
Next day I called Redbus and asked what’s all these nonsense ..
They replied //Look at the rules and agreement ..We do not own any responsibility for issues with the Private bus owners ..We just collect money and send to the owners
