Himachal Pradesh has been inhabited by people due to the birth of civilization have occupied Himachal Pradesh. It has a rich and altered history that can be separated into several distinct eras. The foremost tribes that inhibited the Indus valley civilizations were Koilis, Dagis, Khasas, Dhaugris, Kirats, , Halis, Kinnars also Dasas. Progressively the Aryan society barraged this region.
The British territories in the hill came below British Crown after Queen Victoria’s proclamation of 1858. The states of Chamba, Mandi and Bilaspur made good progress in many fields during the British reign. During the early time World War, virtually all commanders of the hill states stayed loyal and shared to the British war effort both in the form of manpower also materials. Amongst these were the states of Kangra, Siba, Bilaspur, Suket, Chamba,Mandi also Nurpur.
In more princely states agitations were launched for common and political reforms. Although these were directed more against the princes than against the British and as such were mere extensions of freedom movement. Praja Mandal launched agitations against the British yoke in areas under direct British Rule.
The report of Himachal Pradesh had been themed to different imperialistic ambitions. The Sankar Varma, Kashmiri king, practiced an influence to Himachal Pradesh back in the ninth century. After the freedom of India in 1947, Himachal Pradesh is a commonly controlled territory with the mixing of 31 hill provinces. A few other regions were incorporated of Himachal Pradesh in 1966. Also In the year 1956, Himachal Pradesh had become a great Union territory, and it was elevated to the condition of statehood on January 25, 1971.
