Visiting Madras is always such an exciting experience. The Marina beach is wonderful and occupies 13 km to the east of Madras. This makes it the second largest in the world. Madras is a city of many religions. The Parthsarthy temple is an embodiment of the heritage of the Pallava kings who built it in the 8th century. The entire locality in which the temple is located talks of the richness of the Hindu culture in terms of architecture and art. Hinduism thrives hand in hand with Christianity. There is richness of heritage in both religions although Hinduism is the indigenous religion of the people here.

The national art gallery was set up in 1906 and is a major attraction since it tells of the history of Madras at a glance. Somebody on a quick visit to the country may find it ideal. Due to the close proximity of these two places, it is not uncommon for you so see visitors walking from one attraction to the other instead of using public transport means.

In Guindy National Park, this is where a snake park is found that houses hundreds of different species of snakes. Raj Bhavan is the name of the estate where this national park is located. Situated in the outskirts of the busy city, the choice of these locations makes many tourists prefer to dash here for a taste of what India has to offer in terms of wildlife heritage.
