Jet Airways is always known for premium services like Kingfisher Airlines, but now they are launching a new economy service targetting lower middle class & regular travellors who are looking for low cost airline tickets in order to maintain their budgets. The premium class tickets are already in a slow down because of the recession and less travellors this year , following which this seems to be a good step by Jet Airways by launching ‘Jet Konnect’
It seems that Jet is going to offer all the services which they offer to their main services passengers excluding the meals which they have to buy onboard like the passenger do while travelling on other budget flights like SpiceJet, Indigo, Kingfisher Red etc. Currently Jet has a market share of around 25% but after this step they may be getting some of the economy travellors and this would increase their overall marketshare by year end.
This service seems to be the cheapest of all Jet travelling options after Jet Airways & Jetlite where in the passengers get meal on the board. Hope these new flights at Jet Konnect would be running full and move towards the upwards trends.
