Haryana has a continental climate with scorching heat during summers. The weather of Haryana tends to be hot in summer but in winters, it can be very cold. The amount of rainall is not much and it’s varying except in some districts such as Karnal and Ambala.
Furthermore, the rainfall is not distributed evenly with the region of Shivalik Hills being the most wet while the driest is the region in Aravalli Hills. About eighty percent of the state’s rainfall occurs during the monsoon season which arrives on the months of July, August and September. At times, this results to flooding in local areas. The crops in autumn and sowing in spring are done from the month of June until late September. Winter rainfalls occur from December and lasts until February. This is good for a certain local crop named Rabi.
